WWE Already Selling New Carlito Merchandise Following His Fastlane Return

Earlier this year, Carlito returned to WWE at Backlash in Puerto Rico when he interfered in the San Juan Street Fight between Bad Bunny and Damian Priest. Subsequently, he would go on to re-sign with the company, although WWE’s creative team didn’t seem to have any immediate plans for him. However, after several months of inactivity, he has now re-debuted at Fastlane, teaming with Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar, defeating Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits. And indicating he is back as a regular character, WWEShop.com has already released a new t-shirt for him.

44-year-old Carlito was released by WWE in 2010 after he refused to attend rehab following a violation of the WWE Wellness Program. Since then, he hasn’t worked full-time for any major US promotions, instead wrestling on independent shows and for his father’s World Wrestling Council promotion in Puerto Rico. Still, he now has a fresh opportunity to be a WWE Superstar, and based on his performance at Fastlane and the reaction from the crowd, he has every chance of matching his prior success.
