Born in Dorchester, Massachusetts, this Army veteran exploded onto the scene in the early 1970s, first as Irish Pete Doherty, then as the masked heel Golden Terror, before becoming the iconic Duke in 1985. For nearly 25 years, he lit up arenas with his wild-eyed energy and an over-the-top personality. He even competed against Bret Hart in the untelevised 1991 King of the Ring tournament, in what would be one of his final matches.
