Wrestler Who Was Previously Accused Of Stabbing Referee Arrested For Assaulting A Woman

Nine months ago, Devon Nicholson ruined his reputation after repeatedly stabbing a referee in the forehead at the end of a match, severing an artery and leaving him with a $10,000 medical bill. And while Nicholson would claim the injuries were unintended, that didn’t add up with eye witnesses’ descriptions and what the police were told. Nevertheless, given that it was on a pro wrestling show where the line between reality and fiction is blurred, no legal action was taken.

Now though, the disgraced wrestler is facing the consequences of his action after recently being arrested for allegedly assaulting a woman. The precise arrest date is unknown, but PWInsider.com believes it was between August 20th and 29th, based on his YouTube history and court documents. And following a bail hearing which took place on Friday morning, he is now under the supervision of his parents and must adhere to a nightly curfew until he returns to court next month. Additionally, he isn’t allowed to contact the victim.

Apart from the incident mentioned above with a referee, Nicholson is best known for suing Abdullah The Butcher, who gave him Hepatitis C during a bloody bout. Yet, despite being cured, he was still awarded $2.3 million by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice because it cost him his opportunity with WWE. Although how much he actually received from Abdullah is unknown, as the WWE Hall of Famer reportedly put the bulk of his assets in his wife’s name to avoid paying.
