William Regal’s New WWE Job Title Revealed

William Regal recently departed AEW after asking to be let out of his contract early to return to WWE to work as part of Triple H’s regime and coach his son Charlie Dempsey. And with it understood that the only clause was he could not appear in front of the camera anywhere else for a specific period, PWInsider.com has now reported that the former Blackpool Combat Club leader has officially returned to WWE and will be known formally as the Vice President of Global Talent Development.

PWInsider.com has confirmed that William Regal’s official title for his new role in WWE is Vice President, Global Talent Development. Regal, 54, started back with World Wrestling Entertainment last week and was at the most recent Smackdown taping.

Regal looked about as likely as anyone to be a WWE lifer, having continuously been with the company since being re-hired in 2000. Yet, he was deemed surplus to requirements on January 5th, 2022, and during his Gentleman Villian podcast, he revealed that during his 22 years with the company, he never got too close to Vince McMahon due to knowing he could be fired at any time. Now though, with his close friend and confidant Triple H in power, he looks set to have more influence than ever in shaping the company as long as Vince McMahon remains hands-off.
