Why AEW Didn’t Acknowledge Kenny Omega’s Birthday With A Tweet

Kenny Omega is currently suspended by AEW following his part in the now infamous backstage altercation at All Out. With it believed he and The Young Bucks will miss AEW’s next pay-per-view because they are not featured on promotional material. And while it is anticipated he will eventually return to the company that he helped establish, fans feared the worst when AEW failed to recognize him turning 39 on the 16th of October. Now though, Fuego Del Sol, who shares a birthday with the former New Japan stat and did receive a birthday tweet, has revealed that the decision came from Omega himself, with him previously having asked not to be acknowledged.

Currently, the precise details relating to the All Out fight haven’t been shared by AEW, with the promotion keeping things in-house while an investigation is carried out. However, third-party reports had made it appear that Omega is one of the least culpable, as his main priority was getting CM Punk’s dog, Larry, out of harm’s way, and he ended up bitten by Ace Steel when he tried to intervene in the struggle. And with it now known that Steel has been fired, perhaps it means the investigation is concluding, and Omega and the Bucks could be returning shortly.
