What Designer Of NWO Logo Got Paid Revealed

The landscape of professional wrestling and American culture was forever changed with the formation and success of the New World Order. The nWo, a faction in World Championship Wrestling originally comprised of Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, had and still has a lasting impact that extends well beyond the wrestling ring.

The faction’s iconic logo is also one of the most recognizable symbols in wrestling history and has spread far beyond the confines of the business. ESPN analyst Marc Raimondi has penned a new book, “Say Hello To The Bad Guys: How Professional Wrestling’s New World Order Changed America,” and in a Web Is Jericho interview via Youngstown Studio, he revealed what surprised him most during his research for the book.

“One thing I did not know at all was that no one knew who the designer of the nWo logo was for 30 years,” Raimondi said. “The narrative that has been given so many times was that it was Disney or it was Disney MGM Studios, and I never really thought about it more than that. But when I was interviewing Neil Pruitt, who was one of the producers for WCW at the time, while we were talking he was like, ‘You should really see if you can find the person who designed the logo.’”

“That became my goal. Like, ‘Alright, I need to find this person somehow.’ And I did.” That person is Jenni Sloan, who created the logo in about an hour while working in a post-production office for Disney MGM Studios in Orlando, Florida.

“It took me a few weeks and a lot of reporting and cold-calling people that probably thought I was crazy, but I eventually did find out who she was,” Raimondi said. “She’s a real estate agent now in Winter Park, Florida. And she had no idea the nWo blew up to such an extent, and it was her logo that did it. Just a cool part of history that had been missing, and I’m glad that she’s now sort of getting credit for doing it back then.”

In the book, Raimondi outlines that Sloan wasn’t even paid outside of what she was already making as part of her regular salary. “The first thing she asked me was, ‘So how many T-shirts did they sell of this logo?’” Raimondi said. “I was like, ‘Jenny, you don’t wanna know the answer to that question. It would make you feel very bad.’”
