Wednesday Night Wars Ratings For 19th February

NXT was coming off a Takeover special, and AEW Dynamite had a hyped cage match, but the Democratic debate did 19.7 million viewers shared between NBC and MSNBC so there was concern both shows ratings could decrease significantly.

AEW Dynamite featured the young Bucks winning a #1 contenders battle royal, Jon Moxley beating Jeff Cobb, and Cody beating Wardlow in a cage match main event.

NXT was the fallout from TakeOver: Portland, and had Jordan Devlin retaining the NXT Cruiserweight Championship over Lio Rush, The Broserweights team of Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne defeating Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan, and the main event of Velveteen Dream beating Roderick Strong.

The final ratings saw Dynamite have 893,000 average viewers up 9.8% from last week, and NXT having 794,000 average viewers up 4.8%. So this was an excellent week for both shows given the monster numbers the Democratic debate did.
