Vince Russo is a very divisive person in the pro wrestling business, with his positive and negative influences undeniable. And while he is currently focused on his multiple podcasts that cover the television product, a big part of his content is taking shots at those he considers to be “dirt sheet marks,” like Dave Meltzer. However, even Russo’s biggest supporters are questioning his logic after he pointed out on X that some reporters, specifically Meltzer, dye their hair and, therefore, shouldn’t be trusted.
64-year-old Russo made his name in WWE, going from being their magazine editor to working alongside Vince McMahon in penning the television product. Therefore, when he and colleague Ed Ferrara jumped to WCW in 1999, many considered this a significant coup and predicted WCW would soon rule in the ratings. Yet, the exact opposite would happen with the brash New Yorker making questionable booking decisions. Still, even after the demise of WCW, Russo would remain involved in the pro wrestling business, briefly returning to WWE and then joining the newly launched TNA, coming and going multiple times over the next 12 years.
