Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil was the headlining act at Saturday night’s Oklahoma State Fair in Oklahoma City. The 11-day event included a variety of musical choices for fairgoers. Among the acts who performed were original Foreigner vocalist Lou Gramm, Hinder and Neil.

The Mötley Crüe frontman, however, apparently had to end his set early last night. He shared the news via X (formerly Twitter.)

“At a concert in Oklahoma City Crazy night last night,” Neil wrote. “3/4 of the way thru the set people started running. We we’re told to get in dressing room. There were shooters shooting people. Thank you fans for your understanding.”

Neil would later add: “Thankfully we are all okay! Thanks to everyone who came out. Please stay safe! #OklahomaStateFair

According to KOCO News 5: “One person was shot and two people were taken into custody after an altercation at the Bennett Event Center Saturday night at the Oklahoma State Fair.”

“Police said the shooting happened shortly before 9 p.m. following an incident at the event center on the east side of the fairgrounds in Oklahoma City. They learned two groups got into an altercation, during which a person pulled out a gun and shot someone.”

“The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. Police said a few other people were reportedly injured amid the chaos. The nature of their injuries was not released.”
