Vince McMahon Settles Out Of Court With Former Referee Who Made Shocking Allegations Against Him

Thirty years ago, Rita Chatterton’s name was wiped from WWE history after the referee claimed McMahon subjected her to a horrific ordeal in the back of his limousine. She would go on to discuss this on Geraldo Rivera’s show, “Now It Can Be Told,” and McMahon would sue both her and Rivera, but he’d later drop his lawsuit due to the steroid trial. However, several months ago, her name would again resurface following the hush money payments uncovered by the Wall Street Journal, and she would subsequently file her own lawsuit against McMahon.

And now the Wall Street Journal has reported that McMahon has settled out of court with Chatterton. Yet, it is noted McMahon’s lawyer says the settlement was done solely to avoid the cost of litigation, and the precise figure she has received remains private. Still, it is believed to be less than the $14 million she was asking for.

This settlement follows the $7.5 million McMahon paid a former wrestler in 2018 when he was accused of forcing into performing a sex act on him a decade earlier. Additionally, he agreed to pay $3 million in hush payments to a former employee with whom he and John Laurinaitis are believed to have had a relationship.
