Almost a year ago, Patrick Clark Jr, better known as Velveteen Dream, was released by WWE. This was despite the alarming allegations against him regarding minors never being proven. Now, though, the former NXT talent has posted an Instagram Story expressing his desire to return to the company despite the fact every time he wrestled #FireVelveteenDream would trend on Twitter.
It should be noted that while the court of public opinion found Clark guilty, he was never arrested, and WWE says they’ve investigated the allegations internally and cleared him. Yet this didn’t matter to some fans as his attempted comeback was short-lived, with the first indie promotion to book him announcing he was off the show within two hours due to the adverse reaction. Considering this, it seems incredibly unlikely WWE will bring him back. However, stranger things have happened.
