Velveteen Dream, real name Patrick Clark Jr., should be a main roster star in WWE at this time, having proven himself in NXT. Yet after disturbing allegations relating to messages to children emerged, fans turned on him. And while WWE management said they had thoroughly investigated and found no evidence of wrongdoing, as #FireVelveteenDream became a regularly trending topic, his continued employment became a distraction.
Still, it appears that Clark isn’t prepared to go away quietly, as he has now taken to Instagram to accuse his former WWE colleague, Seth Rollins, of taking his look and mannerisms. Whether Rollins did or didn’t is obviously a matter of debate, but it appears Clark doesn’tt think it is just a coincidence, having altered Rollins name from “Freakin” to “Stealin.”
29-year-old Clark Jr. unexpectedly returned to the ring in February 2024 for the New York-based indie promotion The Dynasty, marking his first appearance since 2020. On the night, he would issue an open challenge, leading to him wrestling Alec Odin in the main event. Still, this comeback was met with a very adverse reaction online, forcing the promotion to issue a statement declaring they stood by their decision to give him a second chance, although they haven’t booked him since.
