Disappointing Update For Fans On The Future Of WWE House Shows

House shows have typically been an important part of WWE’s business; however, their significance has declined, with television contracts becoming increasingly lucrative over the years. And now, according to Brandon Thurston, the COO of WWE’s parent company TKO, Mark Shapiro, has revealed during the UBS Global Media and Communications Conference that the company wants to cut back on these live events due to them being “dilutive” from a “margin perspective,” which basically means unprofitable.

This news will likely disappoint many wrestling fans, especially those who don’t live near areas where WWE runs television tapings. still, from a purely business perspective, it makes sense, and considering WWE has been paid to run major premium live events like Payback in Puerto Rico, Clash at The Castle in Wales, and Crown Jewel in Saudia Arabia, it’s likely this is the focus from now on.
