Update On Ronda Rousey’s Arm Injury

On last week’s SmackDown, Ronda Rousey was injured in a storyline by Tegan Nox, which led to her accompanying Shayna Baszler in a sling made from her black belt. And while it was believed at the time to be cover for an actual injury, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now confirmed the former UFC star is dealing with a hairline fracture in her arm, and they’ve pulled her from action because of this. However, despite this, WWE is still planning on her wrestling for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania, even though the tag champions and Trish Stratus are already booked to face Damage CTRL.

Rousey has a legit injury, believed to be a hairline fracture. She aggravated the injury recently in training enough to where they are pulling her from action for a little while but she’s still planning on wrestling in the tag title match at WrestleMania.

Originally it was reported that the WrestleMania 39 women’s tag match was meant to be Rousey and real-life friend Baszler vs. Dakota Kai and IYO SKY of Damage CTRL. However, it appears Kai and SKY were deemed not significant enough stars, so the belts were put on Becky Lynch and Lita two weeks ago on Raw. Therefore, it sets the stage for a rematch between Lynch and Rousey from their WrestleMania 35 main event, with Lynch working both nights.
