In November 2023, news broke that Hulk Hogan’s son, Nick, had been arrested in the early hours in Clearwater, Florida. The former reality TV star was apparently on his way home from a bikini contest at his father’s restaurant and was pulled over by police after being clocked doing 51 miles per hour in a 40 miles per hour zone.
Subsequently, he was booked under the suspicion of driving under the influence after he refused to take part in a sobriety test. However, he claims the alcohol that police officers smelt on him at the time came from his girlfriend, whom he had recently kissed. And now it has been reported by PWInsider.com that on Friday afternoon, Nick waived his right to a speedy trial, and his new hearing is now set for February.
“Nicholas Bollea aka Nick Hogan, the son of WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan had a pre-trial hearing earlier this afternoon in Pinellas County Court in Florida. The hearing was originally slated for 1/17 but had been pushed back. At today’s hearing, Bollea waived his right to a speedy trial. A new hearing was set for 2/23.”

The reason for this is that in 2007, he was involved in a serious car crash where his passenger suffered life-changing injuries, resulting in him being incarcerated for eight months. Therefore, most assumed he would no longer take risks when driving, yet his arrest was even in the same city where the terrible crash occurred 16 years earlier.
