WWE was planning on having Lacey Evans face Charlott Flair take place at WrestleMania 37 and initiated a storyline involving Ric Flair dating Evans. Although, after she announced her pregnancy, WWE would scrap the angle, despite at one stage attempting to portray Ric as the father. Now though, having given birth to her second daughter, it appears she is set to make her WWE, with PWInsider reporting she is set to be at this week’s SmackDown. It should, though, be noted this doesn’t automatically mean she will make her return on the show, as she could be attending to discuss future plans.
Lacey Evans, who took time off from WWE back in 2021 in advance of having her second daughter, is slated to return to WWE shortly, PWInsider.com has confirmed. Evans is scheduled to be at tomorrow’s Friday Night Smackdown taping in Milwaukee.
PWinsider.comAfter several years as part of the military, in 2014, Evans began training at a local wrestling school in Georgia. She would go on to sign with WWE in 2016 and, for the next two years, would prepare and mostly wrestle on NXT house shows. Then in 2018, she’d adopt her current gimmick, establishing herself as one of the top heels in WWE’s women’s division. It was believed she was set to win the Raw Women’s Championship from Asuka at Elimination Chamber. However, following the news of her pregnancy, that plan was scrapped. Given that, it will be interesting to see WWE again position her as a top contender upon her return.
