Update On Cash Wheeler’s Aggravated Assault Arrest

Last August, Cash Wheeler was arrested after he was involved in a road rage incident the prior month after it was alleged he pulled a gun on another driver. And while it’s known Wheeler has pleaded not guilty, since then, all has been quiet regarding the case. However, PWInsider.com has now reported that on February 1st, prosecutors decided to move forward, with a guilty verdict potentially seeing the AEW star imprisoned for up to five years.

“The decision was made on 2/1 to move forward with pursuing the charges. Under Florida law, a conviction for aggravated assault with a firearm could lead to up to five years’ imprisonment, five years’ probation and a $5,000 fine.”

At the time of the arrest, die-hard AEW fans feared that FTR’s huge All In match with The Young Bucks would be canceled due to the event taking place in the United Kingdom. Yet, it was later confirmed that Wheeler’s passport had not been confiscated, and no travel restrictions were ever placed on him, so the match was still able to take place.
