Update On Brian Pillman Jr’s WWE Status

Recently Brian Pillman Jr. was removed from the AEW roster web page, which clued-many people into the fact he had departed the company, and subsequently, that would be confirmed by various sources. Shortly afterward, it would be reported by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the second-generation talent was in attendance and training at the WWE Performance Center. And now Bodyslam.net has reported he is moving to Orlando this August to join WWE full-time.

“Sources have told me that a deal is in place, or is in the process of being finalized before it can officially be signed. Sources have also indicated that Pillman Jr. will be moving to Orlando, Florida by the end of August where he will report to NXT and begin training at the WWE Performance Center full-time.”

29-year-old Pillman Jr. is the son of the late great Brian Pillman and began his wrestling journey in 2017 when he trained at Lance Storm’s school, the Storm Wrestling Academy in Canada. He would go on to work on the indies before making a name for himself in MLW, and due to his MLW contract allowing him to also work for AEW, he would begin working for Tony Khan’s company as well. He would then gain significant attention when he formed the Varsity Blondes with Griff Garrison, however, as of late, he had been working as a singles competitor or teaming with Brock Anderson.
