Update On Axiom’s Roster Status Following His SmackDown Debut

Unexpectedly, Axiom made his main roster debut on the November 17, 2023, episode of SmackDown against Dragon Lee, and since then, fans have been wondering whether he was officially called up or it was a one-off appearance. And while it isn’t 100% confirmed, it appears he remains an NXT performer as according to PWInsider.com, as of Tuesday, he was still listed for that brand on WWE’s internal roster.

26-year-old Axiom, real name Carlos Ruiz, previously wrestled under the name A-Kid and first became known to European fans due to regularly competing in Spain and the UK. He would go on to sign for NXT UK in 2019 and spent three years competing on the brand, with his highlight being the first-ever NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion. Then, in 2022, he was repacked as a masked superhero wrestler named Axiom in NXT and subsequently became a frequent television performer.
