Recently, the name Mel Phillips resurfaced after several decades, with the deceased former WWE ring announcer’s alleged abuse of ring boys in the 1980s and early 90s getting fresh attention due to a new lawsuit. And now, in shocking news reported first by PostWrestling.com, the lawsuit has been amended to include alleged abuse by both Pat Patterson and Koko B. Ware, claiming they were active participants.

In Patterson’s room, Doe 6 alleges he was given alcohol, Patterson played p*rnography on the television, and forced Doe 6 to give Patterson oral sex and vice versa … In a separate alleged incident, in a WWF dressing room in Maine, Doe 6 claims he was grabbed in the crotch by wrestler Koko B. Ware with many other witnesses present.PostWrestling.com

Initially, the lawsuit against Vince McMahon, his estranged wife Linda, and WWE’s parent company TKO was on behalf of five victims. However, the amended lawsuit now brings that number up to eight, making the scale of potential abuse even more shocking. Still, it is unclear whether this will ever end up in court, as the defendants recently filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, stating they have no sufficient connection to Maryland. This is significant as Maryland’s Child Victims Act appeals the statute of limitations for such cases and is almost certainly why the lawsuit was filed in the Old Line State.
