Triple H Talks About Working With Ozzy Osbourne For Survivor Series WarGames

Ozzy Osbourne has had a long history with the WWE, and the Black Sabbath classic “War Pigs” was used as the introduction theme to Saturday night’s Survivor Series WarGames. The song had also been previously used as the theme for an NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque was asked about securing Osbourne to appear in the video that kicked off Saturday’s event.

“I called him,” Levesque said, who also noted that there were discussions of Osbourne performing live on the show, but “timing wasn’t right. We look forward to doing more with them [Ozzy and his wife Sharon],” Levesque said.

Ozzy was the Celebrity Inductee in the WWE Hall of Fame’s Class of 2021. At Wrestlemania 2, Ozzy accompanied the British Bulldogs to the ring for their winning match against The Dream Team of Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake, and Osbourne dropped by the WWE several times in the 2000s, whether it was to perform his latest single or as the special guest host for a memorable edition of Monday Night Raw that featured a Superstar talent show – “Raw’s Got Talent.”

Triple H also had a lengthy friendship and working relationship with Motörhead and their iconic leader, Lemmy Kilmister. Motörhead soundtracked Triple H’s entrance music, “The Game,” and performed it live as he entered the ring for Wrestlemania 17 and Wrestlemania 21.
