Triple H Is Reportedly A Fan Of Recently Called Up Talent

29-year-old Cameron Grimes was drafted to SmackDown as part of the 2023 WWE Draft and would go on to make his main roster debut defeating Baron Corbin in six seconds, clearly showing WWE sees something in him. And now it has been reported by Fightful Select that Triple H himself, who is in charge of Talent Relations and Creative, is a fan of his work from his days in NXT and sees potential for him on the main roster.

Grimes was officially called up to WWE Smackdown during the 2023 Draft, but WWE had been eyeing him for a call up for ages. Months before that, he wrestled a dark match before Smackdown, and by that time, WWE had plans for him to be called up already. Several WWE higher ups, including Triple H, were said to have been fans of his work and saw potential in him on the main roster.

Grimes made a name for himself as Trevor Lee in TNA between 2015 and 2019 and managed to turn that into signing with WWE in early 2019. Then within three months, he was repackaged as his Cameroon Grimes and participated in the NXT breakout Tournament, which he lost in the final to Jordan Myles. However, his real big break came when he was repackaged in 2021, ad the Richest Man in NXT with it claimed he capitalized on the GameStop stock rise. This would see him feud with both Ted DiBiase and his associate LA Knight.
