Trent Beretta Shares Update On His Neck Fusion Surgery

Six months ago, Trent Beretta shared the unfortunate news that he had undergone neck fusion surgery just after returning from a partially torn pec. Not much information was given at the time other than the procedure “went well.” However, he has now he has appeared on Barstool Rasslin’ along with Orange Cassidy and Chuck Taylor and provided some more information. Specifically saying he doesn’t know when he’ll be able to resume wrestling as he is waiting for the bones to grow together.

I don’t know because it’s just like, there’s not even rehab to do. It’s just waiting for my bones to grow together. I just gotta wait for my bones to grow together, though, you know what I mean? They put the plates in, and they take the discs out, and then in-between they put, he said it’s like a crushed coral. I don’t understand why it’s not just floating around but it’s something like that, and then the bone grows into where the crush coral, I think it’s like a little disc thing with the coral in it. It’s not actually coral. They drill the sh*t in, and then they just, there was only the metal keeping my neck together after surgery.

It isn’t known whether it was a single incident or a build of up wear and tear that resulted in the serious operation being required. Sadly though, it appears despite the surgery being some time ago, he still has a long period of recovery ahead of him. Still, hopefully, when he does return, he will be able to compete at the high standard he previously did and put his injury problems behind him.
