Tom Pestock, best known to pro wrestling fans as Baron Corbin, recently departed WWE after management decided not to renew his contract. And while he had only previously worked for WWE, he made it known by wrestling on GCW’s weekend show that he intended to remain in the business. Yet, it now appears he has decided against working under his real name, with it noted he applied to trademark “Bishop Dyer” on January 21.
40-year-old Pestock signed with WWE after he failed to make it to the NFL. Then, following four years of learning his craft in NXT, he made his main roster debut at WrestleMania 32, winning the André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Subsequently, he was prominently featured, working with names like Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Drew McIntyre. However, in more recent years, he fell down the pecking order and was even moved back to NXT in an attempt to reboot his career.
