Torrie Wilson Reveals She Was Told To Not Mention Attitude Era Star During Hall Of Fame Speech

Last week Torrie Wilson took park in a virtual autograph signing for The Asylum Wrestling Store, where for $60, fans could get items signed and chat to the former WWE Diva. While these aren’t usually particularly newsworthy, Wilson would divulge to one fan that ahead of her WWE Hall of Fame speech, she was told she couldn’t mention Sable, who she’d appeared in Playboy with back in March 2003. While she wouldn’t go into further detail, it is interesting that as recent as 2019, WWE didn’t want her referenced.

You’re not even allowed to mention her name. I mentioned her name in my Hall of Fame speech, and right before, they told me, “Oh, by the way, you’re not allowed to mention her name.”

Obviously, it is just speculation, but given that Sable’s husband, Brock Lesnar, is one of WWE’s top stars, it’s doubtful they would choose not to recognize her. Therefore potentially, Sable doesn’t want to be spoken about, and given Lesnar’s position, WWE certainly wouldn’t force the issue. It should be noted Sable did previously sue WWE in 1999 due to allegations of harassment over not wanting to go topless and unsafe working conditions. However, she did return in 2003 and worked alongside Vince McMahon before leaving the company on good terms a year later.
