Just hours before Forbidden Door, Tony Khan would take to social media to announce that Adam Cole vs. Tom Lawlor was off the show. The reason was that Cole was unwell and unable to compete. And now, during the post-show media scrum, Khan would reveal that Cole wasn’t medically cleared because he has the flu.
Therefore, it shouldn’t be long before Cole can return to the ring, and if Lawlor’s schedule permits, the match so many fans were looking forward to will perhaps will still be able to take place in the near future.
