While his WWE contract expired at the end of 2022, it has only just been reported that Bill Goldberg is a free agent. And while most would expect him to re-sign with WWE if he decides to continue his career, AEW’s Tony Khan has now acknowledged his availability during an interview. Specifically saying it would now be something else for him to watch.
I have a lot of respect for Bill. I think Bill Goldberg is a great professional athlete and has had a great career in pro wrestling, and is a very nice person. He’s a household name in pro wrestling, so it’s interesting to hear that he is a free agent, so that’s something to follow. He’s one of the biggest names in wrestling and certainly will be something else to keep an eye on for us.
56-year-old Goldberg last wrestled at Elimination Chamber 2022, putting over Roman Reigns, and since then, he’s been waiting for a call from WWE which never came. It is known though his WWE run has left him banged up, and he requires surgery on both his shoulder and knee. However, perhaps the opportunity to become All Elite may cause him to postpone these surgeries a little longer.
