The big news story in wrestling this past week had been Jade Cargill’s AEW departure and anticipated WWE signing. And now, the day after AEW officially removed Cargill from their website roster page, Tony Khan has acknowledged her exit during an interview with Superstar Crossover. In the process, seemingly confirming things ended on good terms between both parties as he noted she’d be welcomed back in the future.
“As far as Jade goes, I can’t really comment on that except to say that Jade’s been a great wrestler for AEW and certainly always welcome in AEW, you know, could always be somebody we would always love to work with here in AEW.”
Tony KhanWhile Cargill was telling people backstage following her final AEW appearance that she was planning on spending time with her family and running her softball team, it’s been reported that she has been at the WWE Performance Center. Therefore, it appears her WWE signing is imminent, and the only question remaining is whether she will join NXT or be fast-tracked to the main roster, where many feel she belongs.
