Last week, Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee posted a photo of his private parts on all of his social media accounts. Lee has 1.4 million followers on Instagram, more than 670,000 on Twitter and 1.2 million on Facebook. The photo had the accompanying caption, “Oops,” and it became fairly obvious in the days that followed that the post was no accident.

There were many comments on the photo as Lee quickly began trending. His wife, Brittany Furlan, responded, “OH MY GOD,” while comedian Ryan Sickler replied, “Does the camera add 5 lbs?” Lee also posted a follow-up with a picture of an elephant looking at a male model with the caption: “How do you breathe through that little thing??” A new generation of fans began following Lee on social media after the “Pam & Tommy” series dropped on Hulu. The series chronicled his relationship with Pam Anderson, including their legendary sex tape. Lee addressed the photo controversy while talking to the audience at Sunday night’s Stadium Tour stop in San Antonio, Texas.

“A couple of weeks ago, we had like a two-week break off the tour, and I went on a motherf*cking bender, bro — a bender,” he said. “I got f*cking sideways as f*ck a got naked and posted pictures of my d*ck. And usually, I mean I’m a t*tty man, so I like to see t*tties, but tonight it’s equal-opportunity night. Tonight I wanna see everyone’s d*ck. C’mon, pull your sh*t out. Pull your f*cking junk out. Let’s go.”

In a recent interview with iHeartRadio Canada, Five Finger Death Punch singer Ivan Moody was asked if he texted Lee after he posted the photo. “No, I didn’t, because in this day and age you kind of expect it from Tommy, as sad as that may or not be able to say,” Moody said. “But the reality of it is it looks like the guy just got done rubbing one out. Nobody’s that well hung. So good for you, Tommy.”

According to CNN, one user commented that Lee’s penis picture “was on Instagram for 5+ hours before being pulled yet q*eer artists get banned all the time for art that doesn’t even show genitalia.” “Girls can’t post photos with cleavage on Instagram without it being taken down but Tommy Lee can post THAT. nah,” another wrote.
