Tommaso Ciampa’s career has had plenty of ups and downs, but at the moment, it is at its peak thanks to his tag team DIY alongside Johnny Gargano. And while the duo haven’t got a match on the WrestleMania card, they’re both in Las Vegas, having appeared on this week’s episode of SmackDown to set up a TLC match for the tag team championships next week.
However, it appears some fans watching won’t immediately recognize the former NXT Champion, as he has shaved off his trademark beard. The exact circumstances of his updated look are currently unclear, except for an Instagram post revealing that he suffered a fall, which apparently prompted him to shave so he could receive medical treatment.

While this may seem like a minor injury, Ciampa’s WWE career has, unfortunately, been plagued by injuries. This is because after suffering a ruptured ACL in 2018 and then undergoing anterior cervical neck fusion surgery in 2019, he also required hip surgery just two years ago. Still, despite the deterioration of his body, he is still an excellent in-ring performer who hopefully won’t put himself in too much danger when he wrestles in the highly anticipated TLC match next week.
