Joe Hendry is currently winning at life due to winning the TNA World Championship and competing in the Royal Rumble match. And now, it’s been reported by Fightful Select that at one point, there were discussions regarding him working a program with The Miz. Still, it didn’t happen as Ariel Shnerner, a former Senior Vice President of TNA, didn’t want Hendry to lose to the former reality TV star.
36-year-old Hendry broke into the business in 2013, having trained under multiple British wrestlers, including former WWE talent Killian Dain. From there, he became a regular on the UK indie scene and even worked for ROH during their 2016 tour of the country. Nevertheless, it was during his two spells in Impact Wrestling/TNA that most fans first discovered him. Therefore, having built up a substantial cult following on social media, it is easy to understand why he and Jordynne Grace were chosen to be the faces of TNA in NXT, and with her having since joined WWE full-time, many expect Hendry to join her eventually.
