TNA Star Moose Sustained ‘Serious’ Injury At Genesis

TNA star Moose has disclosed on X that he sustained a “serious” back injury at the Genesis 2026 event on January 17 during a triple-threat match against Joe Hendry and Cedric Alexander, where Hendry emerged victorious. The injury seemingly occurred when Moose was dropped onto the steel steps, which left many at home wincing. Still, Moose says he will be at TNA’s upcoming Albuquerque tapoinf, although whether he will wrestle remains to be seen.

“For those who watched TNA Genesis I did suffer a serious injury. From the bottom of my heart, I want to sincerely thank everyone for all their concern and get well soon wishes. My back is super stiff still at the moment but I should be ok for @ThisIsTNA AMC live in Albuquerque.”Moose

41-year-old Moose, real name Quinn Ojinnaka, played seven seasons in the NFL before pursuing a career in pro wrestling. Debuting in 2012, he competed in Dragon Gate USA and Ring of Honor before signing with TNA in 2016 and becoming a cornerstone of the promotion. However, while many believe he has the in-ring ability and looks for a run in either WWE or AEW, the fact that he was arrested following an altercation with his then-wife has seemingly put off either company signing him.
