Tessa Blanchard is one of TNA’s biggest names, although the “she’s a racist” chants refuse to go away despite the allegations being made several years ago. Still, Blanchard seems unflustered and is attempting to rebuild her career, which once showed great promise.
And now, in what some fans call sleazy, while others see as a great way to cash in on the negativity, TNA has announced on social media that they are selling an “I hate Tessa” t-shirt. Whether this will sell well remains to be seen, but if it does, it will be seen as very clever marketing.
After Blanchard’s reputation was tarnished, she took a break from the ring and instead focused on school, studying International Affairs at the University of Texas in San Antonio. However, thanks to small independent companies like XPW, she found a route back into the industry and prior to rejoining TNA had been working for Mexican promotion CMLL, where she was one half of their Women’s Tag Team Champions.
