TMZ Provides Tammy Sytch Prison Update

Last November, WWE Hall of Famer Sunny, real name Tammy Sytch, was sentenced to 17 years in prison with 8 years probation following the DUI manslaughter death of Julian Lasseter in March 2022. And now TMZ has provided an update revealing she was recently transferred from Florida Women’s Reception Center to Lowell Correctional Institution, which holds multiple murderers as inmates, including “Hiccup Girl.” Additionally, it is noted that while Sytch may have the opportunity to work while in prison, she doesn’t currently have a job.

“The wrestling legend had been at the Florida Women’s Reception Center in Ocala before she was moved to Lowell Correctional Institution … just a mile away. Lowell is an all-women’s facility, the oldest in the state, and holds around 1,000 inmates.”

“Tammy may also have an opportunity to hold down a job in prison … though a rep for Lowell tells us she does not yet have a work assignment.”

51-year-old Sytch first broke into the business thanks to her then-boyfriend Chris Candido in 1992 via Smoky Mountain Wrestling. Her big break would follow in 1994 when she joined WWE, becoming Sunny. Yet, she was ultimately let go by the company in 1998 due to no-showing events and a rumored drug addiction. However, after years of hard work, she eventually restored her reputation and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011 before her life totally spiraled out of control and she ended up being arrested more than a dozen times between 2012 and 2022.
