Tiffany Stratton Addresses Suggestion That Becky Lynch Buried Her

Becky Lynch recently began appearing on NXT television as part of an angle with Tiffany Stratton. And while this was a big deal for the brand, as Lynch defeated the rising star for the NXT Women’s Championship, some fans on social media claimed Lynch had buried her opponent. However, Stratton has now refuted this herself during an interview, saying that just being in the ring with Lynch made her a bigger star and that she feels she gained a great deal despite the loss.

“I feel like even being in the same ring with Becky Lynch just immediately makes my stock go up. I definitely feel like Becky brought out the best in me in that match. And even though I lost the title, I feel like I did not come out with a loss. Like I feel like I gained so much from that one match, even though I lost.”

The term “buried” gets thrown around a lot online, often by wrestling fans who don’t fully understand what it means. As while Lynch was victorious and certainly didn’t need the win, she made Stratton look like a threat for the whole contest and traded several near-falls with her. If anything, Lynch made the inexperienced 24-year-old look main roster-ready, and it will now be fascinating to see where Stratton’s WWE career goes in the coming months and years.
