In April 2025, WWE announced the joint acquisition of AAA, regarded by some as Mexico’s premier lucha libre promotion. This strategic move expanded WWE’s Latin American footprint by blending high-flying lucha traditions with WWE’s production polish, leading to the launch of a new weekly TV show on FOX platforms across Mexico and Latin America. And while it was known that The Undertaker had been involved in putting the shows together, he was officially credited at the conclusion of this week’s episode as a producer under his real name, Mark Calaway.

After retiring from in-ring competition in 2020 following his cinematic Boneyard Match at WrestleMania 36, The Undertaker became a WWE brand ambassador under a lucrative 15-year Legends contract, earning big money annually through selective appearances and promotional events. Additionally, he has his popular podcast with his wife, Michelle McCool, on which he has previously revealed that his long-term goal was a creative role. Therefore, when it was reported he was getting involved in AAA, few were surprised, although few predicted he’d be held in the same regard as Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Lee Fitting so soon.
