The Smashing Pumpkins have announced that their upcoming double-album “Cyr” will be released on November 27 and contain 20 tracks. Frontman Billy Corgan, alongside other founding members James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin, worked on what will be their eleventh studio album for over a year. In a press release, Corgan described the album as “dystopic folly, one soul against the world sort of stuff.” Video director Linda Strawberry said it is “a goth fever dream of pent up emotion.” So far, two tracks off the album have been released, titled “Cyr” and “The Colour of Love,” which you can listen to below.

The Smashing Pumpkins’ last album was released in 2018 and only peaked at #54 on US Billboard 200, so they will be hoping “Cyr” will return to the commercial success that has seen them sell 30 million albums worldwide.
