The Rock Just Received A Huge Amount Of TKO Shares

The Rock has been stealing the show in recent weeks thanks to his new Final Boss persona, although he is now back off television in order to resume his Hollywood movie career. However, it’s all but guaranteed he’ll return sooner rather than later to work a program with Cody Rhodes and then Roman Reigns.

Now, via an SEC filing notification, it’s been disclosed that the WWE star has been compensated with a whopping 96,558 TKO shares valued at around $9.4 million following his WrestleMania XL match. These, it is believed, come from the $30 million worth of stock The Rock is owed for becoming part of the board of directors, and his in-ring return over the weekend seemingly triggered this partial issue.

51-year-old Johnson began wrestling for WWE in 1996 after his football career failed to take off, and within a few years, he established himself as one of the biggest stars in the business thanks to his mic skills. Then, thanks to his mainstream appeal, he would eventually move into acting, becoming more well-known to the masses for his blockbuster film roles than his prior wrestling career. Still, he never turned his back on the wrestling industry and is helping elevate the business while being well well-paid.
