Tegan Nox Breaks Kayfabe Following Her WWE Return

Friday night’s SmackDown saw Tegan Nox return to WWE after a year, and had her name not been dropped during WarGames, it may have come across as a bigger surprise than it already was. Her reintroduction to fans would come when she saved Liv Morgan from a 3-on-1 attack from Damage CTRL, setting up a future program with them.

However, not long after the show aired, she would break kayfabe by taking a photo that Mia Yim shared on Twitter showing her alongside multiple members of the WWE women’s roster, including Dakota Kai, who she’d just been in the ring opposing. Yet as kayfabe is effectively dead in 2022, it’s doubtful anyone other than Jim Cornette will care.

Hopefully, 28-year-old Nox’s second WWE run will be more successful than her first, as, during a four-year run, she missed almost half of that due to two separate ACL injuries, which significantly hindered her progression. And while some questioned whether she would ever make it to the main roster because of this, she would prove the doubters wrong by joining SmackDown alongside Shotzi and looked set for a run as Tag Champions, having won multiple non-title matches. Although in typical WWE fashion under Vince McMahon, Nox was randomly drafted to Raw, which ended the team and left both wrestlers treading water before she was released as part of budget cuts.
