Taya Valkyrie Is Reportedly Heading To Major Promotion

Taya Valkyrie had a short run as Franky Monet for WWE in 2021 but found herself let go during the seemingly endless rounds of talent cuts. Now though, it appears the Impact Wrestling star could be headed back to WWE, or even AEW, as she has reportedly finished up with the company. This was reported in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, where it was also noted that while she has been working for MLW, she hasn’t committed to the promotion long-term.

Valkyrie finished up with Impact as she was working with both companies and on occasion AAA, where she still holds their Reina de Reinas title. She is not committed here for a long time either. She is likely going to AEW or WWE and whichever one is supposed to be made clear within a short period of time.

For those unaware of Valkyrie, she has a wealth of experience, having graduated from Lance Storm’s Wrestling Academy in September 2010. Just two years into her career, she moved from Canada to Mexico to wrestle for AAA. This led to her appearing in Lucha Underground and Impact Wrestling and holding the Impact Knockouts Championship for a record 377 days.
