An obituary shared online has announced that Kenneth “Frogman” LeBlanc passed away on January 3, 2026, at the age of 73. The Louisiana native enjoyed a career in the ring during the late 1980s and early 1990s and is likely best known for being Steve Austin’s first-ever opponent, wrestling the future WWE Hall of Famer in 1989 at the Sportatorium in Dallas, Texas. LeBlanc is survived by his five children, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
LeBlanc began his wrestling career in the late 1980s after receiving training from Tom Jones, Iceman Parsons, Percy Pringle, and John Tatum. Primarily working as an enhancement talent, he appeared for World Class Championship Wrestling, the Global Wrestling Federation (GWF), WCW, and the USWA. During this time, he faced Dustin Rhodes, Sting, and Black Bart and called his rarely used finisher the “Frog Gigger.”
