Recently Steve Austin began sharing workout videos on Instagram, which led to speculation he was getting in shape for something. And with WrestleMania 39 just over four months away, many presumed it was for an upcoming match. However, the WWE Hall of Famer has now played down such speculation, saying he just wanted to improve his body after realizing that he “looked like sh*t.“
Obviously, 57-year-old Austin doesn’t look bad and could probably wrestle tomorrow if he wanted. Nevertheless, he is clearly playing another match down, with a deal with WWE yet to be agreed upon, with it claimed the only stumbling block being a dollar amount. Additionally, no potential opponent has yet been confirmed. Although finding someone won’t be a problem, as the entire locker room would likely want such a spot, not just because of the payoff but also the prestige of facing the legendary performer.
