Spoiler On WWE Hall Of Famer In Town Ahead Of Payback

While it hasn’t been confirmed that he is in the United States for wrestling reasons, it has been reported by PWInsider.com that Japanese wrestling legend and recent WWE Hall of Famer Keiji Muto, also known as The Great Muta, was spotted arriving in Pittsburgh on Friday. The timing would, therefore, suggest he is in town for WWE’s Payback premium live event, which takes place there. Additionally, what makes this even more intriguing is the fact that Shinsuke Nakamura, a man Muto is very familiar with, having shared the ring with him during one of his retirement matches, is wrestling Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship on the show.

While Muto made his name in the States via WCW, WWE acknowledged him earlier this year by inducting him into their Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2023. And while it seems doubtful the 60-year-old would ever wrestle for the company, having had a fantastic send-off in Japan, it wouldn’t be surprising to see WWE utilize him in some way alongside their own Japanese main eventer Nakamura.
