Rhea Ripley will face Becky Lynch at Wrestlemania 40 this weekend. The match is apparently scheduled to kick off the event on the first night of the “Show Of Shows.”
Ripley is a heavy metal fan, and she previously did an interview with Metal Injection talking about her current theme music, getting into the genre and how wrestling fueled her interest in heavy music. Ripley also enlisted Motionless in White frontman Chris Motionless for a new version of her theme song, “Demon In Your Dreams.”
In a spoiler as reported by PWInsider Elite, Motionless In White are in Philadelphia for Wrestlemania, and they are slated to perform a live version of Ripley’s theme for her entrance.
“l texted Chris (Motionless) and I was like, ‘Would you be down to do it? I want to change my song up,’” Ripley previously said of updating her entrance music. “And he’s like, ‘Oh my God. Like, Yes, I would definitely do it.’ So I was like alright! I texted the music guys like, ‘get ready for this. I’m changing my song and the person singing it and you guys have absolutely no say in it. I’ve already got the okay from him, so make it work, please’ (laughs). So I was like, ‘It’s got to work. If you can’t get Chris and you won’t let me have Chris, I’m not changing my song.’”
Ripley wanted Motionless In White to play her entrance at Wrestlemania 39, but they were unable due to scheduling conflicts.
