Speculation WWE Could Bring Back Uncle Howdy

Uncle Howdy, played by Bray Wyatt’s real-life brother Bo Dallas, vanished from WWE television shortly after Wyatt was taken ill earlier this year. Therefore, following the former WWE Champion’s tragic death, it was assumed by most that the gimmick was no more. However, it has now been reported by Steve Carrier of Ringside News that there have potentially been creative pitches made within WWE to bring Uncle Howdy back, which would certainly be surprising if accurate.

“We’re hearing rumors that #WWE may bring Uncle Howdy back into the creative picture. We are told that Triple H “is always open to ideas from the writers, and there are always ideas regarding different talents.” That being said, Triple H has not shut down hearing ideas that would bring Uncle Howdy back to television.”

The character Uncle Howdy made its WWE debut during the October 28th, 2022, episode of SmackDown when the creepy masked man interrupted Wyatt via video. Subsequently, fans would try and figure out who was behind the disguise, eventually identifying him as the previously released Dallas. And while it initially seemed Wyatt and Howdy were set to face off in a future high-profile match, the pair seemed to align at the Royal Rumble when Howdy dove onto Wyatt’s prone opponent, LA Knight.
