Speculation Top Talents Don’t Want To Work With Bray Wyatt

During Bray Wyatt’s initial run as The Fiend, it was a widespread opinion that everyone that worked with him for any length of time came out of the program looking worse than they did going in. At present, though, that isn’t a problem as Wyatt is working with LA Knight, who is still relatively unknown to most fans, and the mysterious Uncle Howdy, who is assumed to be his brother Bo Dallas in a mask. And now it’s been speculated by Dave Meltzer on a recent Wrestling Observer Radio that the reason Wyatt is working with mid-card talents, despite being a main eventer himself, is that top-tier talents don’t want to work with him.

I mean, Bray’s a merch seller, and Bray’s over, and you have to do something with him, and the top guys probably want to avoid him, because his history with top guys, I mean, what did Bret Hart say, “you go in as a 10 and come out as a 6?”

Bray Wyatt’s character and promo work has always overshadowed his own in-ring ability to the degree that the worst part of any feud he has been involved in has been the matches. Perhaps now, though, things will change with Triple H in charge of creativity and not insisting he works the specific style Vince McMahon liked. Ultimately though I there is to be any long-term life in Wyatt’s new character, he will need to work with stars like Cody Rhodes, Edge, and Roman Reigns, which may not be the most straightforward angles to book if the objective is to keep everyone looking strong.
