In surprising news, it has been reported by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select that WWE’s Sonya Deville was arrested recently in New Jersey due to having a firearm in her vehicle. However, it was noted that she was in the process of getting it thrown out due to having a permit in Florida. The belief is Deville began carrying a concealed weapon after the terrifying situation three years ago where a fan named Phillip A. Thomas II was arrested inside her home while possessing a knife, duct tape, and mace.
Thomas would admit to police at the scene that he was planning on kidnapping her. Subsequently, he was charged with aggravated stalking, armed burglary of a dwelling, attempted armed kidnapping, and criminal mischief and faced life imprisonment. Nevertheless, it was later learned from court documents that two doctors gave testimony after evaluating Thomas, and it was deemed he wasn’t mentally competent to stand trial. Instead, Thomas was committed to the Florida State Hospital, which treats patients with severe mental disabilities.
