Metallica recently announced a new album, “72 Seasons,” and a special world tour which features a “No Repeat Weekend” that will see the band play two entirely different sets and feature different support acts for each date.

“Starting in April of 2023, we’ll be visiting 22 different cities around the world and playing two nights in each city, with each ‘No Repeat Weekend’ show a completely unique experience: Two totally different set lists with two different bands opening the show each night!” Metallica wrote on their website.

“Purchase a two-day ticket, and you won’t see the same song twice for a total of over 30 songs spanning our 40+ years of being lucky enough to make music. Most of the shows (sorry, not all – we tried!) will be on Fridays and Sundays, so we’ll be sure to have lots of extracurricular events for you to hang with fellow Metallica fans at before the shows kick-off and on the Saturday night in between.”

What will these tickets cost Metallica fans? Well if you want the “Nothing Else Matters Snake Pit Experience,” it will cost you between $3,222 to $4,398 which gets you access to the snake pit and also a chance to meet two members of the band. It also includes numerous goodies and a production tour from a Metallica roadie.

The “Lux Æterna” Platform Package” ($7,272 or $909 a person) allows up to 8 people access to a private viewing platform no further than 75 feet from the stage for both nights at the same city. The platform will have a cooler full of beer and soda and access to the official “Black Box” pre-show lounge where you can get three free drinks and appetizers or snacks, one free piece of merch for everyone in the group.

Metallica is also offering “I Disappear” tickets which allows you access to every single show on both continents of their tour for two years. That costs $3,498 which seems like a steal of a deal until you factor in what it would cost to fly around the world and book lodging in every city.

The least expensive package is the “Frantic” Early-Entry Package ($414 to $598 per ticket) which offers one general admission floor ticket with early entry to both shows in the same city, one limited edition piece of merch, one complimentary drink before doors open, a priority area for purchasing merch prior to the doors opening, and on-site perks like priority check-in, a dedicated support staff and fast track into the venue.

The complete list of special packages, which also contains an FAQ page, can be viewed here.
