During Friday night’s episode of SmackDown, the inductors for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2025 were announced, and it was confirmed that Diamond Dallas Page would induct Lex Luger. This would disappoint fans who had hoped to see Sting return to WWE television, although given that he is currently signed to AEW, it wasn’t a huge shock.
Still, fans online have since been venting their frustration with The Undertaker inducing his wife Michelle McCool with it known her longtime LayCool teammate Layla El was willing to attend the ceremony.
45-year-old McCool had a very successful WWE career after initially participating in the 2004 Diva Search. Subsequently, she became a four-time women’s world champion, including the inaugural WWE Divas Champion. Sadly for her fanbase, she retired from full-time competition in 2011 after putting Layla over in a Loser Leaves WWE No Disqualification match, yet she has since made three Royal Rumble match appearances and wrestled on WWE’s 2018 Evolution all-women’s pay-per-view.
