Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Calls Out Randy Orton

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor has long been a fan of professional wrestling. Previously he said he dreams of someday having a Wrestlemania moment, and it nearly happened once with Bray Wyatt before scheduling issues prevented it from happening.

Taylor also got involved at a match between Baron Corbin and Samoa Joe at Aftershock Festival in the UK. “I was like, f*cking hell, freaking out! This was NXT in its infancy, so I’m seeing all the younger dudes who then popped and became f*cking main roster guys. I can remember Baron going, ‘OK, just don’t hit me in the ear. You can hit me (in the face), get me in the neck if you need to. Just sell the f**k out of it!’ I was like, ‘Alright dude!’ He’s so f*cking tall too, dude, I really had to shoot up on it!”

On Wednesday, Taylor took to Instagram to cut a promo on WWE legend Randy Orton. “The Viper” is rumored to make his return to the ring soon.

“That’s right, I got something to tell you, Randy Orton!” Taylor said. “Do you think you’re going to come and get this belt from me? You got another thing coming! Come this time tomorrow — MSG, Madison Square Garden. We ’bout to get down, motherf*cker! Yeah!”

Taylor could be setting up an angle with Orton, or he might just be letting his wrestling fandom show. Either way, the Slipknot frontman remains a staunch fan of the squared circle.

Taylor said previously: “It always p*sses me off when people call it fake because it’s absolutely not fake. It may be predetermined, but it’s not fake. It takes skill, and it takes talent to be able to do that. I’ve always had respect for people who do it and I’m one of their more vehement defenders.”
